What is a Spiral Stair?
Technically: Spiral Stairs are generally constructed with a fixed center pole which serves as either the primary or the only means of support from which pie-shaped treads radiate to form a winding stairway.
Standard Custom Spiral Stair Qualities:
- Factory fitted stackable hubs to give a solid continuous look.
- Balusters are ¾" diameter solid (5 lbs. each) custom made and factory fitted.
- Factory formed custom handrail fitted with tapped holes for final field assembly with ¼-20 machine screws.
- Several choices of Tread Designs, Railing Designs and even Balusters.
- Mechanically Assembled, No Field Welding Required.
- All metal thickness' are a minimum of 7 gage.
Basically: A stairway that revolves or rotates around a center pole to reach a specific height in which to save room that a straight stair would take up normally.
